What a week can do: Perspective Day 20

Feb 20, 2014 By Elin Stebbins Waldal Leave a Comment

Although my commitment to daily blogging hasn’t exactly been perfect this month, I am happy to say when it comes to my announcement on Day 11 to reclaim my health and love for exercise, things are looking good.FitBit Badge

It turns out what I really needed was a kick in the ass from an electronic device–yes, I am now addicted to my Fitbit. In nine days I have logged, 88,071 footsteps and just earned my, “50 Lifetime Miles” badge. Not bad considering on Day 10 I was doing as little as possible.

As much as I’d like to toss all the credit for my new found motivation to Fitbit, I can’t. Different from my patterns in the past is where I am choosing to spend my time exercising–mostly outside, on trails or at the beach. Talk about a paradigm shift, it has been great to connect with nature, get my body moving and reacquaint myself with the real me, the woman that thrives when she laces up her shoes and enjoys walks and runs.
